As the only beachfront private club on Bald Head Island, the Shoals Club offered exquisite views of the historic Frying Pan Shoals and Cape Fear Point. Guests of The Palmetto Place can request temporary guest access to enjoy fine and casual dining; swimming in the Shoals Club’s saltwater pool; stroll down to the beach with complementary chairs, towels and umbrellas provided and access to a fitness room. Best of yet, it is a stones throw away from The Palmetto Place.

Aqua is the Shoals Club's premier fine dining venue, The menu emphasizes coastal fare, but guests will frequently enjoy chicken, steak and vegetarian dishes.
The Verandahs
The Verandahs is a great option for a more casual lunch or dinner on the expansive deck of The Shoals Club overlooking the pool. With a delicious menu there’s something for everyone.
Latitudes
Latitudes is the perfect cocktail and wine lounge to unwind with friends and watch the sunset. Make a premium selection from their extensive wine list or have their friendly bartenders concoct a special libation for you.

Don’t forget to pack activewear and a pair of sneakers when you come to visit. Rent paddleboards from CoastalUrge or stop by the boat landing during high tide to catch a fresh crab dinner. Find comfort under the shady canopy of oaks, palms, and Spanish moss in Bald Head Woods Maritime Forest Preserve. Walk along the Loop Trail to see Timmons Oak, a 400-year-old Oak tree, or take the golf cart to Kent Mitchell Trail to walk over the marsh on the boardwalks.
